Version 4.7.0      Released:  Jan 22, 2023       (Windows version)      LATEST VERSION
Changes:
  1. Updated the 3D animation viewer. Swapped the X and Y axis definitions to that they match the X and Y axis definitions used by the gyros in the transmitter.   This makes the animation exactly match actual motion of the transmitter.

Version 4.7 works on Windows 7, 8, 10 and 11.  It is not supported on Windows-XP.   Some functionality may still work on XP but there are no guarantees and the 3D viewer definitely will not work on XP.

Version 4.6.0      Released:  Jan 13, 2023       (Windows version)
Changes:
  1. Updated the 3D animation viewer.  The 3D viewer now has a button that allows the user to run the animation at real time speed so that the animation can be combined with other video sources and stay synchronized.  The user can now also select the background color of the animation window.  The green screen option can be especially useful when it needs to be combined with another video source.   Also fixed a bug that was causing the 3D viewer to display the altitude and velocity from the accelerometer when it should be displaying them from the GPS.  This bug only occurred near apogee on flights higher than 150,000 feet.
  2. The altitude readings from the barometric pressure sensor are no longer shown on the plots if they exceed 100,000 feet. This is because the baro sensor readings are not accurate above 100,000 feet.  Likewise, the flight summary report no longer lists the Max Baro Altitude if it is above 100,000 feet.
  3. Added a note that will appear in the flight summary report if the GPS max altitude is above the Karman line.

Version 4.6 works on Windows 7, 8, 10 and 11.  It is not supported on Windows-XP.   Some functionality may still work on XP but there are no guarantees and the 3D viewer definitely will not work on XP.

Version 4.4.0      Released:  July 4, 2022       (Windows version)
 Changes:
  1. Added 3D viewer for displaying rocket orientation during flight.  This makes it easy to study the pitch, yaw and roll changes during flight.  Tilt, coning and tumbling are also easy to see and study.
  2. Added baro and gyro data to the Excel spreadsheet that is automatically generated from the flight data.   This data is only available when flight data is downloaded from a Kate-2 or Kate-3 transmitter.  The data is not downlinked to the receiver.

Version 4.4 works on Windows 7, 8, 10 and 11.  It is not supported on Windows-XP.   Some functionality may still work on XP but there are no guarantees and the 3D viewer definitely will not work on XP.

Version 4.2.0      Released:  Nov. 22, 2019       (Windows version)
 Changes:
  1. Added External Input-1 and External Input-2 data into the Excel spreadsheet.  These are the two external inputs on the Mx152 pyro board.
  2. Added the Real Time Status bits to the Excel spreadsheet.   These bits include flags showing continuity status on each pyro channel as well as when each pyro channel was fired.
  3. Added timing diagram plots for the Real Time Status bits, Separation Status bits, and Staging Status bits.  These show all the important bits used to decide when to fire the separation charge and the sustainer motor ignitor.  They can also be used to determine why a charge was not fired.  They are accessed by:  Main Menu > View > Show Plot.  They are only available when an Mx152 pyro board is used for the flight.
  4. Modified Google Earth trajectory by changing the coast phase color from blue to black.  This was done to make it easier to see it against a blue sky.  Also increased the line thickness slightly in order to improve visibility.
  5. Fixed a bug that would cause the program to hang if the user edited a flight card from a Kate 2 (Mx150) flight.
  6. Changed the main window "Read Flash" button to be "Read Data" in order to clear up some user confusion.
  7. Other minor bug fixes and improvements.

Version 3.2.0      Released:  July 10, 2018       (Windows version)
 Changes:
  1. Added a new graph that shows tilt angle from vertical.  It is derived from GPS data and plotted during the boost to apogee.  It is even valid when recalling data from previous flights that were saved before this change was made.
  2. Added a "Show Plot" menu to the View option on the main menu bar.  "Show plot" allows the user to call up some plots that are not normally available in the plot menu window.
  3. The downlink data packet format has been modified so that it is now possible to report altitudes above 524K feet.  For this to work, the Mx120 receiver and Mx110 transmitter must be updated to firmware version 3.2 or later.  Note: this change is backwards compatible and will still work just fine with older versions of receiver and transmitter firmware provided the maximum altitude stays below 524K feet.
  4. Added some limited initial support for the new deployment module and staging controller that will be available for sale in the future.

Version 3.0.0      Released:  April 20, 2016       (Windows version)
Changes:
  1. Added support for the additional flight data provided by the latest TelemetryPro firmware v3.0.    (The Flight Data Analyzer still supports all previous versions of firmware too.)
  2. A staging event table is now shown in the flight summary report.  It lists maximum acceleration, burn time and staging delay time for each stage.  It also lists altitude and velocity at ignition as well as altitude and velocity at burn-out for each stage.
  3. The flight summary report now lists exactly when the apogee deployment charge fired and exactly how early or late it was with respect to apogee.  The altitude, vertical velocity and horizontal velocity are also listed for when the deployment charge fired.
  4. The flight summary also shows the exact time the main parachute deployment charge fired, as well as the altitude and the vertical velocity when it fired.
  5.  Added a menu that allows the user to select the units for altitude, velocity, distance, acceleration and temperature.  A full set of imperial and metric units are available.  The selected units are now used for all plots, the flight summary report, the Excel data file and the scale on the Google Earth trajectory.
  6. Changed plots to use dots for GPS data points rather than connected line segments.  This makes it much easier to see where GPS updates are missing.
  7. Fixed a bug that failed to plot some data if the downlink was lost prior to apogee.  The bug also generated a defective Google Earth trajectory that could not be displayed.
  8. Other minor improvements and bug fixes.

Version 2.1.0      Released: June 16, 2015    (Windows version)
Changes:
  1. Added the ability to replay the Kate audio from a flight recorded by a receiver.  Also generates an audio wave file for general use.
  2. Added a plot menu window that allows plots to be individually selected for viewing. This eliminates the previous behavior where all plot windows were automatically opened on top of each other.  Added a plot for downlink signal strength.   Added a plot that shows GPS fix status and number of satellites used in the fix.
  3. Google Earth trajectory is now shown with colors indicating events on the trajectory.  Red indicates motor thrust.  (Booster, sustainer and air-starts.)  Blue indicates coast.  Yellow is for descent on drogue.  Green is for descent on main parachute.
  4. Other minor improvements and fixes.

Version 1.3.0      Released:  Oct. 1, 2014       (Windows version)
Changes:
  1. Fixed a bug that would report an incorrect altitude for main chute deployment that only showed up on flights above about 80K feet.  It was reporting main deployment at far too high an altitude.  Generally 25K to 40K feet.   It now reports the correct altitude.
  2. Altitude scale for the Google Earth trajectory will now automatically select an appropriate spacing interval according to the maximum altitude.   Previously, it used a fixed spacing of 1000 feet.
  3. The default view for the Google Earth trajectory is now due north and is scaled appropriately for the maximum altitude reached. This change handles a much wider spectrum of flight profiles and presents them in a good default view.
